Rules
“STREEM DANCE” dance championship – festival is organized with the aim of spreading and promoting the culture of various dance styles. All dancers will have a great opportunity to demonstrate their skills, compete for championship titles and meet other talented dancers from across the country.
I. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. The dance championship – festival “STREEM DANCE” is organized by the founders of the association “Srauto šokiai” – Aidas Tijūnėlis and Saulius Skambinas.
1.1. It is an opportunity to meet new dance groups, share the joy of dance, success, experience and professionalism, as well as a great chance to test your abilities on the big stage.
1.2. Event date and location – May 23, 2026 (Saturday), Utena Multifunctional Sports Center (K. Donelaičio g. 38, 28141 Utena).
II. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
2. Goals and objectives of the competition:
2.1. To provide dancers with the opportunity to showcase their talent and abilities.
2.2. To create conditions for developing talents and helping gifted dancers reveal their potential.
2.3. To encourage positive communication and cooperation among groups and children.
2.4. To bring together the best dance groups from Lithuania and abroad to compete for the title of the strongest group.
2.5. To provide dance groups with evaluations from a competent judging panel.
III. GENERAL RULES AND DEADLINES
3. Participants are divided into age categories:
• Baby (up to 6 years)
• Kids (7–9 years)
• Children (10–12 years)
• Juniors (13–16 years)
• Adults (17+ years)
• Hobby – dancing parents
4. Participants are divided into skill level categories:
• Beginners 1 (dance experience up to 1 year)
• Beginners 2 (dance experience up to 2 years)
• Advanced (dance experience more than 2 years)
5. Participants compete in different dance style categories:
• Street dance
• Street dance show
• Free dance
• Show dance
• Pop dance
• Contemporary dance
• Classical dance
• Ballroom/Latino dance
• Character/Folk dance
6. Registration and deadlines:
6.1. Applications for participation in the championship – festival must be submitted by May 15, 2026 at 00:00.

A separate form must be filled out for each dance.
*Later applications may only be accepted with confirmation from the event organizers.*
6.2. The exact start time of the event and group registration times will be communicated to groups via email after submitting the application.
6.3. By submitting the participant application, the group agrees to all competition rules and regulations.
6.4. Performance duration – up to 4 minutes.
6.5. Dance music and visual content for the LED screen (if you have and wish to use it during the performance) must be named with the team name, performance title, and if the dance begins from a stage mark write – T (e.g.: teamname, upside down, T.) and sent to streemdancemusic@gmail.com by May 15, 2026, 00:00. In the email text indicate which dances start from a mark and which start with music.
6.6. By submitting all required participation documents, representatives and leaders of participating groups agree to filming and photography of the group and confirm that they have parental or guardian consent for all minors allowing the Organizer to process personal data for the purposes of organizing the competition. The representative also confirms that they are familiar with the rights of the data subject established in the Lithuanian Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data.
6.7. Event organizers have the right to film and photograph all performances free of additional charge and reserve the right to publish information, photos and video related to the competition on television, radio, press, social networks and websites. The organizer guarantees that all visual material will be used only for non-commercial promotion of the championship – festival.
6.8. The participant or participant’s representative ensures discipline and is responsible for the health and well-being of participants throughout the competition.
6.9. Organizers are not responsible for items left, lost or otherwise misplaced by participants, representatives or spectators during the championship – festival.
7. Team tolerance:
7.1 Age tolerance: up to 10% of dancers in a team may be one year older than the age category they belong to.
7.2 Younger dancers may always compete in older age categories (in case of questions the child must have a document confirming age).
7.3 Category tolerance: up to 10% of dancers in a team may be from a higher skill category.
8. Participation fee:
8.1 A group or dancer participating in the competition must pay the participation fee.

8.2 The application will only be included in the schedule after full payment or a 50% advance payment of the participation fee.
8.3 Participation fee must be paid by bank transfer by May 15, 2026.

IV. JUDGING AND AWARDS
9. Judging
9.1 Participants will be evaluated by the judging panel according to criteria such as artistry, dance idea, choreography, technical execution, professionalism, synchronization of dance and movement, and stage culture.
9.2 In the BABY category and in all styles for BEGINNERS 1 dancers, a special evaluation will apply. Judges will secretly vote and evaluate each group's performance from 1st to 3rd place. The average of all judges' placements will determine the final result.
9.3 Prohibited actions: indecent gestures during the dance or explicit language in the chosen music track.
9.4 Decisions of the judging panel are final and cannot be appealed.
9.5 If the judging panel determines that dancers are competing in the wrong age group or category and do not meet requirements, they have the right to disqualify the team or move it to an appropriate category (if possible).
10. Awards
10.1 Dancers in the BABY category and BEGINNERS 1 in all styles will receive diplomas, acknowledgements, a team trophy and medals.
10.2 All other categories will compete for special diplomas, acknowledgements, medals and trophies created specifically for this championship – festival.
10.3 At the end of the event, by decision of the judges, the best performance will be awarded the prestigious GRAND PRIX.
10.4 Leaders of all teams will receive gifts established by the event sponsors.
IF NECESSARY, THE ORGANIZERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ADJUST THE COMPETITION RULES / REGULATIONS
